Meta rules

I am an engineer, in the explicit sense of the word. I follow rules, and those rules make me adopt certain behaviors. These behaviors make me think in a certain way, and I replicate the loop.

Now, why change rules so often? There is no better rule to follow; the rules always depend on the context.
